The Piano Works
The Challenge:
The Piano Works was our first client when we launched Cru, a month before the Covid-19 pandemic. During lockdown, our brief was to keep The Piano Works brand in the press to maintain a strong brand presence for when the venues re-opened.
What we did:
We worked on the Grand Outdoor Summer Cafe campaign, where we pushed a new law through parliament allowing operators to serve food outside during lockdown. As venues were allowed to reopen, we launched the first ever Gateway Protection Tunnel at The Piano Works, allowing consumers to enter the venue safely and arranged for BBC News and the Daily Mail to be the first to go through the tunnel. Following this, we ran a campaign to promote the Australian Rent Relief scheme alongside hospitality rent negotiators, Cedar Dean.
Results:
Operations Director Tristan appeared on TV and radio numerous times discussing Covid related issues for the industry, appearing on Sky News frequently, BBC News, Channel 5 and Channel 4 News.
As the venue reopened officially in July 2021 we launched a Freedom Day party which had amazing print and online coverage globally. Key highlights include, but not limited to: Good Morning Britain, The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, The Times, Washington Post, The Independent, Daily Mail and more.
