Inter-community Workshops
To help bridge the gap between members of the Shoreditch community, including newcomers and long-standing residents, we recommend hosting a series of inter-community workshops. These workshops will serve as a platform for members of the community to come together and learn / collaborate on topics of mutual interest, exchange ideas and build common ground.
The inter-community workshops will be lead by experts in their fields - this could be entrepreneurship, cryptocurrency, art, fashion, tech, marketing, etc. The experts should come from a range of fields, so that there is a really wide variety to choose from.
The best way to find leaders to host the workshops is through the community itself - community centres, local offices, co-working spaces, neighbourhood networks, social media, etc.
The workshops can take on different formats depending on the topic - this could involve presentations, networking events, panel discussions, etc.
The aim is to have an open dialogue at the workshops so that people can share their experiences, meet other people in their communities and build connections.
We could launch these workshops every Wednesday evening and call them Workshop Wednesdays.
The workshops should be affordable for attendees - no more than £5-£10 to keep it accessible.
